Further more when I click on the filled in "star" in the address bar that denotes the page is bookmarked, again no dialog box appears. Reproducible: Always
sounds like you have some add-on issue, please try safe mode: http://support.mozilla.com/kb/Safe+Mode
Seems it is an add on issue, I'll figure out which one and try and let the developer know. Thank you.
thanks, feel free to also report here the offending add-on.

This is not a add-on problem.. it showed up after the last set of updates. In my case when you try to added a new bookmark the dialog does appear and sometimes the create tag (instead of the create folder appears). Pressing the button (folder or tag) cause the entire list above the Bookmark menu to the bookmark toolbar(this would be the from the bookmark toolbar to the bookmark menu) to be selected. The text below the button "New Folder" does not change over to the folder text input like it use to. It still says tags. This worked great 1 - or two releases ago just find. I use it every week and as of today I does not work, I am on version 3.0.13 Michael If you want I can send a screen capture or two. My email is a firstname.lastname@example.org
