515300 - Memory Management Seems not to be working in Snow Leopard

After installing Firefox 3.5.2 the Memory Management was doing an awesome job cleaning the memory leaks. After upgraded to Snow Leopard, that seems to have been stopped. Now firefox is taking more and more memory the longer I keep it open and I have to close it completely to reset memory consumption. I have not added new add ons and I have been using it the same way as in Leopard. 

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. After I have firefox open for a long time and after having closed some tabs
2. Having at least 3 tabs open
3. After having visited a video site such as youtube
Actual Results:  
Keeps using more and more memory even after having closed all the additional tabs and not releasing the memory back.

Expected Results:  
Having the XPCOM work again and clean memory leaks.

Do you have any extensions running when you see this?  If so please try running in safe mode and report back.  Thanks.

I have two extensions, the google toolbar and Adblock Plus 1.1.1. I tested it in the safe mode. In the first 30 minutes of use, opening and closing tabs, seems that firefox was returning memory. I used for a hour and left it there without activity. After returning and closing some tabs and leaving it in the homepage, firefox did not return the memory back.

I have gone back and test it again in normal mode and the behavior is similar.

Let me know if you need any logs or more info.

P.S - Snow leopard will not allow to run safe mode through terminal with the command /Applications/Firefox.app/Contents/MacOS/firefox -safe-mode I had to rename the file libsqlite3.dylib first and then ran the command.

fansntt,  you would want to use https://wiki.mozilla.org/Performance:Leak_Tools to create a leak log with other addons disabled, and newer firefox of course

No reply, INCOMPLETE. Please retest with Firefox 3.6.11 or later and a new profile (http://support.mozilla.com/kb/Managing+profiles). If you continue to see this issue with the newest firefox and a new profile, then please comment on this bug.
