User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv: Gecko/20090729 Firefox/3.5.2 (.NET CLR 3.5.30729)
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv: Gecko/20090729 Firefox/3.5.2 (.NET CLR 3.5.30729)

When downloading any document from my windows account that has a space in the file name, the downloaded file always contains an underscore at the beginning and after the extension in the file name ( _my rar file.rar_ ). The file type seem to be irrelevant. I tried with a MS word doc file and i got the same result. I tried on multiple machines, and even in beta 3.5.3 and it still happens. It does not happen in Internet Explorer. Renaming the file within windows skydrive and removing the space and replacing it with an underscore or other character in its place resolves the problem and the file is now downloaded correctly with the same name as it appears in skydrive. ( see ulr: )

also see for error: ( )

I am not the only user with this problem.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. upload any file to skydrive with a space in the name
2. try and download it, and it will have the underscores in beginning and at end
3. choose the " rename " option in skydrive and either remove or replace the spaces with another character
4. file is downloaded as it appears in skydrive
Actual Results:
removing spaces in file names on skydrive resolves problem in Firefox

Expected Results:
downloaded file name should reflect that of on skydrive, and as has been the case in the past when using Firefox and skydrive.

I suspect that something on skydrive has changed. Just my guess though. I have not tried this for other downloads from other sites, and have had no problem except with skydrive files with spaces in the actual names at this time.

Version: unspecified → 3.6 Branch
Using Nightly 16.0a1(2012-06-15) and Firefox 14.0b7 build1(2012-06-15) on x86_64 Windows 7, This error does not occur, i think that is fixed in this last versions of Mozilla or not, but you can try again and tell us if the issue disappeared or persists, because Skydrive was upgrade, and is posible that the issue was provocated for the platform or is firefox. So try it, and report more information.!
