Type a single character and you get your matches. Type the seconds one and the dropdown clears itself out and resizes correctly. It actually populates correctly and immediately clears out. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Ctrl-A in address bar 2. Type a single character. Ok here. 3. Type the second one. The list populates and then is empty.
I don't see this with Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.1; en-US; rv:1.9.3a1pre) Gecko/20090912 Minefield/3.7a1pre (.NET CLR 3.5.30729) ID:20090912042051. Please create a new profile, and try there. It sounds like an extension is causing this. http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Managing+profiles

I can probably buy that it is a flaky plugin. It doesn't seem to happen with the new profile, although obviously I don't have the amount of history in the dropdown that I have with the other profile. It's not even really consistent with my normal profile. It happens more often than not, but not exactly always. Anyway, you can go ahead and close it if you like. If I get inspired and track down the flaky plugin I'll let the author know...
OK, well thanks for getting back.
