From my investigation, it seems the Remote desktop will cause Firefox copy & paste not work.

If you open Remote desktop to another machine, then try to copy & paste something from machine to your local machine. Then you turn back to firefox, the copy & paste will stop working. You just cannot copy & paste.

My operating system is:
Windows 7 Ultimate version 6.1 build 7600

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Remote desktop(mstsc.exe) to a remote computer.
2.Open Firefox. Try to visit some websites.
3. Copy & paste some text from the desktop of remote computer to your local application, e.g. notepad.exe. This will definitely work.
4. Then go back to firefox. Try to copy & paste some text there to notepad.exe or other applications. You will find this time the copy & paste stops working.
5. Then close the Remote desktop(mstsc.exe). Then go back to firefox again. This time the copy & paste will start working again.
Actual Results:  
After the step 4, the copy & paste stops working for firefox.

Expected Results:  
The text should be pasted to the application, e.g notepad.exe.

Shell integration does not handle copy and paste... our core code does. Moving to Core -> General for further triage since there is no Core -> Copy and Paste component.

I don't see this on Windows 7. 
On Windows, sometimes the clipboard function rdclip dies (or something) and needs to be restarted.
