Although now with NS6 Build 2000092723 and Mozilla Build 2000091312 , the
browser does not crash but still it does not seem to work for Solaris 8 - sparc
2.8. For align attribute the applet does not load and for the rest attributes
height, hidden, loop, src & width the required sound is either not played or not
heard(maybe the sound card is lacking in our systems - Ultra 10?).
For Intel - Solaris 2.7 , although the browser does not crash but the test cases
do not work on Mozilla Build 20000100410 ie applet does not load / the sounds
are not played.

I think the EMBED tag support is broken in the browser, hence these tests don't work

It is also broken on Win32 platforms.

Tried this out with 10/31/2000 build of Netscape Package on Solaris 2.8 i386
with FCS bits of Java Plugin 1.3.0_01.

Actually the EMBED tags do work on Win32.

On Solaris it is broken. (this fix has gone into the trunk not inot RTM branch).
Raju, do you know what the fix is that's been checked into the trunk?
If this is considered a show-stopper for our release, then we will have
to apply the same fix to our code. Was there a separate similar bug that
a diff was attached to?
I believe that this bug depends on 56019 (failed to load embeded plugins with
version number attached). The fix has been checked into trunk, and it should
have been put on the patch list for Solaris (if it is not on the list yet, I
thing we need to).
