Dear Team,
please note that if I select "Show all history" I cannot see the list of any recently visited sites.
Furthermore, if I select in the Privacy Options "Remember history", Firefox does not accept these settings but always chooses "Use custom settings for history" instead.
Please advise.

Your left pane is broken (missing History query), not sure what have you done to cause that, maybe a restore of an old backup?
I'd suggest to export your bookmarks, and reimport them in a new profile.
