516930 - Need "conference room" on Asterisk for teleconference

Hi,

I would like an audio conference room to have teleconferences with community members in. 

My understanding is that MoCo people have a conference room numbered the same as their phone extension. I was allocated an extension number at one time, because I occasionally got emails from the voicemail system, either 2-second misdials, or telemarketers. But this may have changed since the office move.

Ideally, I would also be allocated a similar conference room that I could use whenever. But if I just have to use one from a public pool, I guess that's OK. Please tell me which one(s) are available for use. The particular call I'm thinking of will be some time on Friday morning UK time. 

I'd like a solution which meant I didn't have to bug you guys every time. :-)

In addition, having a phone extension would give me a username (and, presumably, password) for the Mozilla SIP server, so that would also be very handy.

You are extension 220, conference room by that number should work as well.  In addition, rooms 7600-7609 are reserved for Mozilla Foundation use, I have no idea if anyone's using any of them for anything in partcular.

From the sound of it I assume you need password resets?

It seems a little bit sledgehammer-ish to give me VPN access just so I can change my phone password. Is there really no way to do it outside that?

The phone password isn't changeable, only your passwords for voicemail and the web portal.  The web portal would be used for managing your conference rooms and visual access to your voicemail and so forth.

And the voicemail password can be changed from the IVR menus within the voicemail system if you dial into it.  See https://intranet.mozilla.org/Voicemail_access

OK, I've changed the voicemail password. 

I think you are right - Internet LDAP auth is the way to go for the web portal. That solves the problem (for me and other MoFo people) without us needing VPN access.
