When Lightning is installed, "List all tabs", events, and tasks buttons should be on the left side of the tab bar instead of the right side now, because if you deactivate the today pane in a tab then the 3 buttons jump when switching to another tab where the today pane is active. Or the Today Pane should not touch the tab bar so that the 3 buttons don't jump anymore.

I doubt we will be fixing this on the calendar side. Making the tabbar extend over the today pane will make it look like the today pane is specific to the tab. I think this should be taken care of in bug 476154 (in one way or the other, even if that means WONTFIXing this bug). Are you ok with duplicating this bug against bug 476154?
As a measure to reduce the number of issues to a more manageable amount I am closing off this bug because it has been filed before 2010 and is still in the "unconfirmed" state and it has not recently been changed. If this is still an issue, please test with the latest version of Thunderbird and Lightning and comment on the bug, I am happy to reopen it. Thank you for your understanding!
