After the JS merge from on Tue Sep 15 02:22:34 2009 -0700 to 1.9.2, we're seeing some new crashes in Fennec on ARM. The most reproducible crash I've seen is with Weave installed when you try to log in. Turning off the chrome jit fixes the problem.

Mardak and I have been trying to debug it, but we can't reproduce it in a debug build or even an optimized build with symbols. The bug is still there, but the Weave guys worked around it somehow.

Still want to block?

See bug 518220 comment 1 and 2 for what I investigated last week. But a quick summary is that it's fixed on trunk with the big 255 changeset landing on mozilla-central, but it's still crashing on 1.9.2. I've worked around the issue in Weave by adding an eval().

Something in the big landing on 1.9.2 fixed this issue. http://hg.mozilla.org/labs/weave/rev/4a943edf149b Remove eval() workaround now that jit.chrome doesn't crash on latest 1.9.2 fennec (bug 517247).
