Details

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.0.14) Gecko/2009082707 Firefox/3.0.14 GTB5 (.NET CLR 3.5.30729) Build Identifier: 2.0.0.23 I have a filter that moves new emails from the Inbox folder to a folder that is directly under the Inbox folder as soon as the mail arrives. It seems that the process of moving it makes the mail appear as if it was read because there is no count of unread mail next to the folder name. Also, right clicking on the email and selecting "Mark" the "As Read" indicator is already checked. The filter is used to separate important emails from all of the others and without a count of unread mail I can not tell that new mail has been placed into the folder. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. create a sub folder under the Inbox folder 2. write a filter to select out an email to be moved into the new folder. The filter I'm using checks for specific "from" addresses. It also tags the message as Important and Starred 3. send test emails that meet the filtering criteria 4. check to see if there is a count next to the new folder name for each email moved to it Actual Results: See details Expected Results: I would expect a count for each email moved into the folder not marked the email as read so that a count appears next to the folder name
