HTTP Auth dialogs are hidden by SIP keyboard. There is no TAB on my keyboard so this results in me having a modal dialog which I can not enter anything into and can not dismiss it. I am using a 1.9.2 nightly on a Samsung Omnia II.
- Encoutered same problem (not able to enter text in http authorization modal dialog) in Windows Mobile 6.0 (Touch Screen). - Handset - HTC Touch Dual. Steps to Reproduce. 1. Download fennec installation from the following location http://www.mozilla.org/projects/fennec/1.0a2-wm/releasenotes/ 2. Install fennec on windows mobile. 3. Open fennect in WM and open a http website which has authorization, for ex staging sites have authorizations implemented. So open a site similar to http://stage-testsite.com Actual Result: A Popup modal window opens with the following message "A username and password are bing requested by http://stage-testsite.com. The site says "testsite" "User name" field "Password" field. - User is not able to enter text in username and passwords fields. - Even mouse over does not do anything. - Using touch screen clicking on the area showing OK or Cancel buttons clicks the buttons. Expected Result: User should be able to enter username and password and connect to the website.
- One important point relating to this problem in windows mobile 6 professional CE OS 5.2.1622 (Build 18184.108.40.206) (specially in htc touch dual) is that in windows mobile, modal dialog is not hiddedn by SIP keyboard, infact modal dialog is clearly visible, however the keyboard in not visible and user is not able to enter the text in username and password fields. - Note: I have been using Skyfire (mobile browser) as well. - Good thing about mozilla fennec is that atleast the modal popup for authorization is coming up on opening a site which requires authorization. In Skyfire, no popup appears in such scenario, so there is no way to access a website which requests authorization.
