The temp file is created OK, but Firefox fails to properly launch editor (on my machine Source Insight is launched).

Do you launch an external editor? I do. Some time ago (before FF 3.5, but I'm not sure) FF opened inner editor and everything was fine. Now Ctrl+U launches external one and it's OK in most cases, except this bug.
