I'd like to request a few components to be added to the "Mozilla Messaging" product in bugzilla: Name: ispdb Description: The ISP web configuration database for Thunderbird's account autoconfiguration Name: Office Description: Issues from Mozilla Messaging Staff about office related issues. Group: Default to Confidential Mozilla Messaging Bug Name: Security Description: Security issues with Mozilla Messaging production software Group: Default to Confidential Mozilla Messaging Bug

Group: mozilla-confidential

We can't do component-specific group defaults... Has to be per-product, and right now, the MoMo product defaults to mozilla-messaging-confidential. So, if we add ispdb, all bugs filed under it will be under the mozilla-messaging-confidential group.

Ah, okay, in that case, just leave the default group as it is and simply create the 3 new components. Thanks reed!

Er, after thinking about this more and actually checking the settings, I was mistaken in my comment #1. We do _not_ currently force all bugs under the Mozilla Messaging product to be mozilla-messaging-confidential. That can be done, but it'll do it for every component under that product. My apologies for misspeaking earlier.

(In reply to comment #0) > Name: Security > Description: Security issues with Mozilla Messaging production software > Group: Default to Confidential Mozilla Messaging Bug Just curious... What type of bugs do you expect to go into this component? Not actual software security bugs in Thunderbird, correct? You mean infrastructure security issues, I guess?

Note that we could create a web form for submission of security bugs that would set the right flag on bug creation, even if the component isn't sensitive only.

(In reply to comment #6) > Note that we could create a web form for submission of security bugs that would > set the right flag on bug creation, even if the component isn't sensitive only. correct, but what type of security bugs would these be?

I don't know what gozer had in mind, but I can imagine bugs in ISPDB, in our tryservers, in our website infrastructure... (everything but Thunderbird)

(In reply to comment #8) > I don't know what gozer had in mind, but I can imagine bugs in ISPDB, in our > tryservers, in our website infrastructure... (everything but Thunderbird) David is correct. One issue that has come up in the past so far are security bugs in drupal, for instance, powering spreadthunderbird.com. I had no components to file these under, so I was hoping for a component like Security for those, that would be private by default. If the default isn't set, its not a problem, as I tend to file these bugs myself, so I can mark them confidential easily.
