At the moment, the "Becoming A Mozilla Committer" web page doesn't tell a new committer how to set up ssh keys as the accounts require. For new committers who know enough to program but haven't touched ssh as they haven't need to, this is a bit difficult.
The instructions are, however, in the CVS guide: https://developer.mozilla.org/en/Using_SSH_to_connect_to_CVS
So I think the instructions for setting up ssh keys should be moved/copied to the committer page where they are most appropriate.
Additionally, in the links at the bottom of the committer page it should link to:
https://developer.mozilla.org/en/Mercurial_FAQ#How_do_I_check_stuff_in.3f
as that is what we are generally using these days.

There's a link to that first document at the bottom of the page. Is that sufficient? I think that a wiki like DevMo is a better place to maintain instructions like that.
I would expect that by the time people get to being committers, they will be fairly familiar with Hg and stuff. But we could add a link to that second page if you like.

I think the first document on devmo could be split - because you're not going to visit it unless you get to setting up cvs.
However, adding a direct link in item 7 of the Logistics section would actually resolve the issue in a better way as then it gives a pointer at the time when someone starts wondering how to set up ssh.

Well, having a link to how to set up CVS but not one on how to set up hg does some a little weird. Maybe even drop the cvs one and just have the hg details.

standard8: I'm not entirely certain which bits of
https://developer.mozilla.org/en/Using_SSH_to_connect_to_CVS
are CVS-specific, and which are not. Do you have 10 minutes to split that page roughly into two - Mozilla_Code_SSH_Setup and the existing one?
I've added a link to the Hg doc to the Committer page.

Closing old Mozilla.org website bugs due to them not being relevant to the new Python-based Bedrock system. Re-open if this is a critical bug and should be resolved on the new system too.

My guess is the information on this page is outdated and it will be deprecated soon. Please reopen if this is not the case.
