This link ("My Portfolio" from www.quicken.com if the URL doesn't work) is supposed to either prompt for a password or direct the user directly to their portfolio. In Mozilla, it does nothing. I get a very short "Page finished time" but the content in the browser window doesn't change nor does the location bar.
Do you have PSM installed? The URL relocates to a https:// page which needs that. It renders for me fine. If not, go to "Debug -> Install PSM" from the menu. Works for me with PSM installed, without PSM installed it kinda shows the described behaviour, though the URL changes and a dialog pops up which indicates the connection was refused.
I don't have PSM installed. When I do as you suggest, clicking on "Install PSM for linux" does nothing. When I load the page I get several messages like: JavaScript error: http://docs.iplanet.com/scripts/header.js line 141: section is not defined Error was suppressed by event handler BTW, I am using the 2000090808 build
For me it shows a dialog "show items to install", then when I click on OK it shows a progress dialog. Does your user have write permissions in the Mozilla directories so you can install the PSM component?
Yes. I "installed" mozilla in a subdirectory of my home directory. By installed I mean that I unpacked the .tar.gz file and then run mozilla using cd package ./run-mozilla.sh
Hmmm, with the exact same version I have no problem installing PSM nor going to the page. Could you try downloading an earlier nightly, or perhaps M17, and see if you can install PSM in that? Keeping this bug open till we determine what the problem is.
I fixed the problem by removing my ~/.mozilla directory which was left over from a previous install of M16 or 17. Thanks for your help, the requested site works fine now.
Cool. Marking this bug invalid (i.e. a non-bug) then.
