When entering the previous bug report, the description was longer than this text box where I am typing now. When the scrollbars appeared and the text scrolled, the cursor disappeared (i.e. was no longer visible) although I could still enter text as normal (I just couldn't see where the cursor was). If I moved the cursor into the first "page" of text and used the scrollbar to scroll to the top, the cursor reappeared. It appears to happen when the first line of text is not visible. If I use the scrollbar to make the top line half-visible, half of the cursor is also visible. I have just noticed that, if I use the [End] key to go to the end of an incomplete line, again the cursor disappears although it reappears as soon as I move it. This could be related! Using Mozilla nightly build 2000090704 for Win32.
Might be a duplicate of 51747.
I am now using build 2000091312 and both bugs seem to have been fixed. Whoever it was that cured it, thanks! Just one small point (new bug?) - if I put the cursor at the beginning of a line then use the cursor keys to move up and down in the text box, the cursor now insists on positioning itself *after* the first character on the line (if there is one). Not a problem, just cosmetic.
