Browsing and loading windows slows down. Then Camino will not quit. The script is unresponsive and I must force quit the application.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open browser window
2. Use it for a while
3. Try to quit, fail, force quit
Actual Results:
Camino will not quit

Without knowing a site where this is happening, it's unlikely we'll be able to do much of anything with it. I do see quite a bit of reflow in the sample, so maybe this is fixed in 2.0b4?
One thing you might be able to do in the interim is use about:config to set the
dom.max_script_run_time
preference to a higher number than 10 (seconds), although that's probably more likely to be helpful on a PPC Mac than on an Intel Mac.
Can you please tell us on which site you are seeing the "unresponsive script" alert?
I apologize that I don't know the tech stuff that's being described. There has never been a specific URL that prompted Camino to stall. It's random. The one consistent factor is that if my computer is on for extended time periods Camino will not Quit unless it is forced to do so.
Thanks for the follow-up.

Next time you come across this with Camino 2.0.1, can you tell us a specific URL where it's happening?

Have you run into this at all with Camino 2.0.1 in the last month? If so, were you able to capture a specific URL that caused it?

Heronimous: Yes, same freeze - up of Camino after minutes online. Message is always Unresponsive Script. Specific URL most prone to this is AccuWeather.com.
Never fails to freeze my Camino 2.1.0 on Mac OS X within minutes of entering the site.
Note: This site will also freeze my Firefox browser with same unresponsive script! Maybe this confirmation and extra example will help.

This bug was originally filed against 1.6.x, so reporting a 2.x issue here isn't useful. If you see an issue with 2.x, please file a new bug with URLs, and attach a sample (however, if you see the same problem in Firefox, it's almost certainly a Core bug, not a Camino bug).
Since there has been no response on the original 1.6.x issue in several months, closing this bug INCOMPLETE.
