User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X 10.4; en-US; rv:1.9.1.3) Gecko/20090824 Firefox/3.5.3 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X 10.4; en-US; rv:1.9.1.3) Gecko/20090824 Firefox/3.5.3 Many times, NOT ALWAYS, But more often than not, when I click in the scroll bar to page up or down. FireFox will jump multiple pages instead of the one, causing me to have to try to go in the opposaite direction. at times it just keeps skipping the page i want and i have to use the scroll buttons to move the page to where i want it. Reproducible: Sometimes Steps to Reproduce: 1.click low in the scrollbar to get the browser to page down 2. 3. Actual Results: it will jump several pages instead of just one. it doesn't jump to where i have clicked but it will jump muliple pages. happens 70% of the time. Expected Results: skipped mutiple pages skipped to the next page

Tried the Option-Start for Firefox yesterday. Still jumps 2 or 3 pages on a single click. Am going to try the profile change today. Hang with me, I have TONS of IRL stuff to attend to.
Tried new profile to test. Did NOT import Anything, just a fresh clen ne profile. Problem continues. Next step delete Firefox and try a fresh install. Thanx for the suggestions but I'll figure this out or just live with it.
I'll try the nightly, but my experience as an AOL Beta tester many moons ago soured me on testing things. "Can you replicate the error?" "Uh........sometimes." This seems to be one of those sometimes events. The hardest of all bugs or glitches to find. I was going to go back and find the last stable version and just start all over again. It's odd because I have Safari, Opera, Camino and flock on board and they act fairly normally. The reason I switched from Safari was due to the change in the GUI in Safari 4. I was able to get Firefox to mimic Safari 3's gui behavour.
The file opens as "MineField" and seems to do nothing at all. Doesn't look like it's running. I'm running Tiger 10.4.11. Havent looked into whats running in the background yet, Nut just what is this supposed to do? Lil Snitch hasn't caught it asking for an outside line so it's not phoning home.
Oh, 10.4, I hadn't noticed that. Yeah, latest trunk Firefox doesn't run on 10.4. Try this: http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/nightly/latest-mozilla-1.9.2/firefox-3.6b1pre.en-US.mac.dmg That's a nightly from the branch that will become Firefox 3.6 at some point. "Minefield" is the name for experimental unsupported builds of Firefox.
Thanx, It's in and running (Namoroka). updated itself this morn. Gimme a few days to see what happens. I'm running a G4 PowerMac that I built from bits and pieces. It's my Special Baby, but I'm stuck at 10.4.11. I'm looking for a G5 motherboard to put in the G4 case (one of, if not THE most beautifully designed towers Apple has made). Being Disabled money doesn't "Flow" like it used to.
still happening. I'm baffled. doesn't happen with the system or safari. have yet to torture test opera, camino, flock (only keep them for testing purposes anyway). Odd thing is that it seems to be happening less now. I went so far as to try a different mouse. Thinking that it might be seeing a secondary click from a dirty mouse switch. I have yet to play with mouse settings in SysPrefs. Got a lot on my plate. Blown Head Gasket on my Thunderbird and a leaky house roof taking much of my time and energy.
still happening. just dealing with it. thanx anyway.
