519203 - firefox keeps closing and cannot restore

ever since upgrading to firefox 3.5, it will just decide to close. Sometimes I cannot even type in the website name before the box pops up and says firefox has to close. Then when I re-run it, it says oops this is embarassing but we cannot restore your tabs. Then I click the info box and it tells me this is my problem:

Steps to Reproduce:
1.steps are just double clicking firefox

Actual Results:  
it will load my homepage, but when I type in another website, sometimes it immediately crashes and I have to reload multiple times, or sometimes it will stay on for a few minutes and then crash. It does it really bad with yahoo, just typing in the word yahoo ususally kills it. 

Expected Results:  
not crash.

please email me at [e-mail] and tell me how to fix this. I really like firefox and have never had problems with it. This problem is making it nearly unusable now though.
