When Thunderbird sees new messages in my IMAP inboxes it shows the subject and an excerpt of the body in a notification. The subject and the excerpt are however not from the same message.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
I have seen it all the time for long time on several machines.
The main difference from other setups could perhaps be that I only use IMAP.

Another - and perhaps related - issue is that it seems like it pops up because of new messages in one inbox then it shows (unread) messages in another inbox - and thus it doesn't show the new email.

I haven't noticed any wrong subject/excerpt combinations. But the 4 headlines shown do not include the newly arrived mail, so so far I can conclude that I still see an issue in this area ...
