Windows locks the file when it's open for reading or writing and prevents it from being deleted when clicking clear logs.

I am having the same issue with FF 3.5.4 and Weave 0.8 on Windows XP SP3
Bug 526661 removes the view, so it doesn't keep the file lock open preventing the file from being deleted.
