User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X 10_5_8; en-US) AppleWebKit/532.1 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/4.0.212.1 Safari/532.1 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X 10.5; en-US; rv:1.9.1.4pre) Gecko/20090915 Thunderbird/3.0b4 This is presumably only an issue (I'll test once I can get back on my mail account!) when tbird is set to store messages on the local machine. I have frequently noticed the status bar saying it's indexing or downloading messages in folders I haven't touched in quite a while, and haven't really thought anything of it, until I found myself locked out of my IMAP account today apparently due to excessive bandwidth usage! A quick search for "Account exceeded bandwidth limits." nets me a bunch of threads here and there, mostly referencing tbird3. Depending on how people are getting on the 'net, this could potentially incur HUGE bandwidth bills, and should be flagged as a release blocker. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Connect to IMAP mailbox. 2. Idle for long enough... 3. Find out that you've used some gargantuan amount of bandwidth. Expected Results: tbird only downloads new mail!
