Thunderbird 2 only. Steps: 1. Log out. 2. Log in again. 3. Subscriptions are slow to load. 4. Auto-pub collection, or first in the list, has focus. Expected All subs load and add-ons appear. Actual The loading throbber keeps going and add-ons do not appear. Clicking on another collection resolves this. However, it seems like some data is missing, such as the unread count. The following exception is in the console. Error: [Exception... "Component returned failure code: 0x80004005 (NS_ERROR_FAILURE) [mozIStorageConnection.beginTransaction]" nsresult: "0x80004005 (NS_ERROR_FAILURE)" location: "JS frame :: chrome://bandwagon/content/scripts/factory/collectionFactory.js :: anonymous :: line 195" data: no] Source File: chrome://bandwagon/content/scripts/factory/collectionFactory.js Line: 195

On a fresh install on Linux, I am seeing the exception multiple times on first load after login. It is either for each collection, or for each add-on the collection that has focus. In the console after each one, I also see: bandwagon(1): Can't find a browser window to notify the user

Related, on Firefox 3.0.14 on Linux, I see at the same time a one time exception: bandwagon(1): Bandwagon.RPC.Service.onComplete: error notifying observer: [Exception... "Component returned failure code: 0x80004005 (NS_ERROR_FAILURE) [mozIStorageConnection.createStatement]" nsresult: "0x80004005 (NS_ERROR_FAILURE)" location: "JS frame :: chrome://bandwagon/content/scripts/factory/collectionFactory.js :: anonymous :: line 197" data: no] followed by multiple of the same exceptions like so: bandwagon(1): Bandwagon.RPC.Service.onComplete: error notifying observer: [Exception... "Component returned failure code: 0x80004005 (NS_ERROR_FAILURE) [mozIStorageConnection.beginTransaction]" nsresult: "0x80004005 (NS_ERROR_FAILURE)" location: "JS frame :: chrome://bandwagon/content/scripts/factory/collectionFactory.js :: anonymous :: line 195" data: no]

Fixed. Turns out Storage in TB2 doesn't support schemaVersion. I'm now "forcing" the schema updates for TB2 and failing gracefully. Other platforms unaffected. (In reply to comment #1) > bandwagon(1): Can't find a browser window to notify the user Also fixed. r52686
