Just tested the new plugin check and it tells me to update Microsoft Windows Media Player Firefox Plugin. So i followed the link, installed the plugin and restarted firefox.
After revisiting the plugin check it stil tells me that i have to update the plugin.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Install Microsoft Windows Media Player Firefox Plugin
2. Visit https://www-trunk.stage.mozilla.com/en-US/plugincheck/
3. Follow the link and install the plugin
4. Restart firefox
5. Re-visit https://www-trunk.stage.mozilla.com/en-US/plugincheck/
Actual Results:
It still tells that i have to update this plugin
Expected Results:
It should tell me that i'm on the latest release
I've set the severiyt to major, because this is the main feature of the plugin check.

I can confirm that the plugin check still recommends to update the Microsoft Windows Media Player Firefox Plugin although it has successfully been updated.
The installed plugin version is v1.0.0.8.
The plugin package, which is available on the given website
http://port25.technet.com/pages/windows-media-player-firefox-plugin-download.aspx, has digitally been signed on 11. April 2007 02:33:21 and seems not to be updated since that date.

Confirming: Plug-in check suggests MS WMP FF plug-in (1.0.0.8) would be "Potentially Vulnerable" and offers "Update" link to same version of that plug-in ...

I've just run a new plugin check and the status of the WS WMP FF plug-in is now shown as "Unable to Detect Plugin Version - ?Research".

Data fix. Tested on stage and then changed in production.
Changed version detection to '*' was 'original'.
Added a regex, there was only a literal name before.

Updated stage plugin data
- added regex .*Windows Media Player Firefox.*
- changed detection type from 'original' to '*'
Please test after 10:52am on stage.
Austin: looks good to me, and if it looks good to Oliver, too, we can probably just push to prod whenever.

CCing rdoherty (please read Comment#11),
I've make this change in the production dataset.
Should be fixed once the cache clears.
