We would like to have better help system for users of thunderbird 3+ version. Current help http://www.mozilla.org/support/thunderbird/ is a subject to change, the new one will be probably based on SUMO, but as partial, separate installation without option to localize it (at lest I heard so on eumozcamp), hard to call it better.

As a possible solution I'm attaching a patch, to redirect the help start page calls to our servers. We have wiki with articles and similar content running already, for a few years in fact that should be perfect start point for creating good help system.

Right, this domain doesn't exist yet, support.mozillamessaging.com too, what's your point here?

I don't know what Mozilla Messaging folks think about this, if they will accept the idea, the domain will be created with redirect to MozillaPL.org wiki for start (some better landing page in future, before tb3 release) and land the patch after approval for tb3+ (no intention to redirect tb2 users right now).
