Right now, it's the view interface that hides separators. We should /somehow/ hide them in the back-end instead.

This may or may not block treeviews-paging, but we should fix that either way.

as i said, if we implement hiding separators at result level then we need a driver or module owner to state bug 404983 is a wontfix.

otherwise, i think if we are able to put "untitled" separators all near each other when sorted in any way, skipping them is easier.

WONTFIXing my own bug again.

Thinking about this more, this is arguably wrong for some sorting options (e.g. dateAdded).

Indeed, we need to decide about bug 404983 asap.

Bug 451915 - move Firefox/Places bugs to Firefox/Bookmarks and History. Remove all bugspam from this move by filtering for the string "places-to-b-and-h".

In Thunderbird 3.0b, you do that as follows:
Tools | Message Filters
Make sure the correct account is selected. Click "New"
Conditions: Body   contains   places-to-b-and-h
Change the action to "Delete Message".
Select "Manually Run" from the dropdown at the top.
Click OK.

Select the filter in the list, make sure "Inbox" is selected at the bottom, and click "Run Now". This should delete all the bugspam. You can then delete the filter.
