User-Agent: Opera/9.80 (X11; Linux x86_64; U; en) Presto/2.2.15 Version/10.00
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux x86_64; en-US; rv:1.9.1.4pre)

Got a keyboard/mouse freeze-up while composing a reply. No other windows were affected. Computer had been running hours, and was generally idle.

Killing the compose window killed thunderbird. Upon restart of TB, noticed that folders pane was in different order, toolbar was missing icons, and headers box was empty (using "compactheader" add-on). I didn't happen to look at the status bar.

Repeated restarts appeared the same, so I rebooted, whence I got a welcome to TB 3.0b4 screen. The headers box was still empty until I diaabled the compactheader add-on and restarted. I then noticed that the status bar indicaded that the folders (evidently all) were being re-indexed. I have approx 700 MB in "Local Folders".

Mail and addresses seem intact. Everything seems to be working ok, except the compactheaders plugin, which I will try reinstalling, as I do miss it.

Reproducible: Couldn't Reproduce

Fedora 11 3.0b4 quad-core cpu.
In the frozen compose window, there was a strange anomaly that looked like a reverse-video mouse cursor.
No prior difficulties; this seems like a one-time event.
Jim I'll set a close date for this bug. As with the information provided there is not much we can do to just try to reproduce. If you see it again before the close date, could you try to see if there are any messages in your syslog or in Tools->Error console.
