It has been working fine until the ungrade to Firefox 3.5 Beta 4 just now. Since the upgrade to the Firefox Beta, Firefox will not boot at all. When the shortcut is pressed, a Zonealarm error report pops up say instability has been detected and it asks for a report to be forwarded to them. I suspect it may have to do with the Zonealarm Forcefield component of the software??? Reproducible: Always Expected Results: Firefox should have booted as normal.

First, 3.5 Beta 4 is pretty old and has a bunch of known bugs that have been fixed in the latest version, 3.5.3. So, please try to install that new version and see if it will start. If it still does not start, try to open it in Firefox safe mode, or create a new profile. http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Safe+Mode http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Managing+profiles?s=profile Did you install a forcefield toolbar in Firefox? That could be causing this, so safe mode will determine that.

We're now tracking such bugs. This doesn't mean it's something we can fix, merely something we hope to be able to point vendors to so they can investigate. This is an automated message.

Closing old bugs in the Plugins component. We aren't going to track issues in 3rd-party plugins in the Mozilla bug tracker. In addition, support for NPAPI plugins will be removed at the end of this year; for more details see the post at https://blog.mozilla.org/futurereleases/2015/10/08/npapi-plugins-in-firefox/ If there is a serious bug in Firefox, it needs to be filed in the "Core" product, "Plug-Ins" component.
