I wanted to verify bug 342296, but:
1) I can't reproduce the hiddenWindow.html + bm-panel.xul leak.
2) Instead I get a "chrome://communicator/content/bookmarks/bookmarksTree.xml" leak.

NB: I didn't try to run Leak Monitor.
Flags: wanted-seamonkey2.0?
What about the other cases in bug 342296 comment #3?
The 3 cases report the same leak.
Sorry, but I fail to see how those other cases can leak bookmarksTree.xml when they don't actually use the bookmarks manager...

(I've no idea, all I know is that the issue seems related to the sidebar (drop).)
If, without having the bookmarks manager or sidebar open, you can drag and drop bookmarks to and from the personal toolbar and bookmarks menus, then bug 342296 is verified fixed and this is a separate leak.

I tried the "URLbar to (real, not sidebar) PTbar-subfolder" case, which didn't leak, but:

> is verified fixed and this is a separate leak.

the odd thing is bug 342296 is reported fixed for 2.0b2 (only),
yet 2.0b1 and 2.0b2 leak (or not) exactly the same.
(as if bug 342296 leak had already been fixed earlier :-/ Or had morphed...)

Anyway, my initial point was just to fix this "separate/whatever" leak involving the sidebar ... then we'll see.

Tried to check both this and Bug 342296 leaks, make a series of D&D as described in comments 0 and 3, neither one produce leak, leak-gauge results:
Summary:
Leaked 0 out of 0 DOM Windows
Leaked 0 out of 88 documents
Leaked 0 out of 0 docshells
Leaked content nodes within 0 out of 0 documents
so closing this as WFM

The old bookmarks manager went away in SeaMonkey 2.1 anyway.
