Right now the Community Ticker content is static and only updates on reload. Ideally the content should be scrolling dynamically without reloading.

The home page design has changed recently and there is no longer a community ticker, so this bug doesn't need to be fixed. For reference, you can see an example of the new home page at http://davidwboswell.wordpress.com/2010/10/06/help-us-test-the-new-mozilla-org-home-page/ There is a feed from blog.mozilla.com and a manually updated set of links in the right sidebar to replace the ticker.
