NPR media player launches normally, and segments of the show in question are cued up. While listening, the player will start from the beginning of the segment being played, or to the beginning of the first segment cued. I have tried listening in other browsers (shame!!) and have not encountered this issue.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Go to NPR.org/programs
2.I like to listen to "Wait Wait, Don't Tell Me!" Give that a shot.
3.Become upset
Actual Results:
The issue in question occurred.

Expected Results:
Playback should have continued normally

Using the default theme
Computer is running XP (at work)
Have encountered this problem using Firefox 3.5 as well
I've seen this too, although I can't say where the problem lies -- NPR Flash player, Flash itself, NPR content servers, or the browser.

STR: It's very easily reproducible for me -- just play Morning Edition or All Things Considered in entirety, with the NPR Flash-based player, and every third or every other track will skip.

I've reported it twice to NPR (as standard end-user support requests through their web site). The first time they said they new what the problem was and had fixed it. (It didn't get fixed.) The second time they said they knew about it and were working on it.

It doesn't seem to depend on ISP, since I've connected through two different ones with the same result.

That should read: Flash 10.0.32.18
Thanks for checking in to this. Have you tried running it in Chrome? for some reason, if i use chrome i don't seem to run into this problem. May have just been a fluke since i don't use it as often.
This seems to be working now and has been for the past few weeks, so ...
