I thought I submitted this under number 522686 but I looked to add more to it and it didn't show up. Nothing in the way of themes or bugs work on thunderbird. Microsoft and Sun updated yesterday before I turned off the computer and today nothing works. I don't know what microsoft updated but sun did java to 6.16 or something close to that (it is their latest).

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Turned off and turned on, remained the same.
2. tried to run another theme, theme didn't start.
3. tried to reinstall addon, it didn't install.
Actual Results:  
everything remained the same.


I like walnut 1.8.51. I am using thunderbird 2.0.0.23. I have biff, world weather, update notifier, US english dictionary, talk back, stationery, lightining, foxytunes and dictionary switcher all in thunderbird but they aren't running. They say they will be installed the next time that thunderbird is started and they aren't. I also have many themes that aren't compatible with the version of thunderbird that I have and I have taken them off but they keep coming back.
What do you see in Tools -> Error console ?

I just started my thunderbird and it seems to be working. You may want to look into what happened. I have gotten rid of themes that don't function with thunderbird and I like walnut but they came back.
What came back ?
I had to turn off my computer and when I restarted it later in the day, everything seemed to be turned on and working. I have the theme I want running and all the add ons are working. It is really crazy. Oh, looking back at it, you asked about what was said under tools. For the add ons, it said that they would be installed when Thunderbird restarts and the themes didn't say anything. I tried to get them to work but they didn't.
John your issue is still here?

A radical approach to your problem could be to delete in your profile folder the files named extensions.* and the folder named extensions.

After this you must reinstall all your theme\extension, but this should resolve your issue, that could be related to a "corrupted" profile.
