With the fix on bug 517802 I can see white areas when zooming into large images. It only happens on trunk. No branch is affected. See the following example:

1. Open http://jeremydouglass.com/gamertextually/images/gt_snowflake_tags-2-ach-large.png
2. Zoom into the images at several places by clicking on it

With step 2 you will see one or more white boxes.

Did bug 517802 cause this, or is it just the best guess? Does bug 516885 fix this?
I did a hg bisect to catch it so it's not a guess. If you could push the patch on bug 516885 to tryserver I could test it.
Hmm, the patch in bug 516885 doesn't fix it.
