User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.0; en-US; rv:1.9.2b2pre) Gecko/20091016 Firefox/3.5.1
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.0; en-US; rv:1.9.3a1pre) Gecko/20091016 Minefield/3.7a1pre ID:20091016045204

Session restore of form data fails, when the form data was input by drag-drop.

on the other hand,
Session restore of form data becomes successful, when the form data was input by typing.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Start Minefield
2.Make sure that session restore is enabled.
3.Open http://www.mozilla.org/projects/minefield/
4.Select any text and drag-drop into TEXTAREA
5.Restart the browser

Actual Results:
The form data is lost after restart browser.

Expected Results:
The form data should be restore.
So it looks like dragging + drop isn't triggering us marking the window as dirty (or something along those lines).

It depends on the state you catch the browser in. If this is the only thing you do after the session has last been written, then yes, the data won't be saved.

But if you drag + drop it, then scroll the page, it will restore the form.
