Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Start Firefox. 2. Close all Firefox windows, but don't quit firefox. 3. Click a hyperlink in an external application (Adium, iChat, Preview ...) Actual Results: Firefox opens two windows: A blank new window with empty location bar A new window with clicked URL being loaded Expected Results: A single new window with clicked link being loaded
A mistake there. The defect happens when firefox is started by opening a link from external application. So steps to reproduce should be: 1. Set Firefox as default browser. 2. Quit firefox. 3. Click a link from an external app.

Can confirm this issue on my machine. Prerequisite: Firefox set as default browser. 1. Quit Firefox if running. 2. Open shell and enter open "http://www.mozilla.com" -> Firefox starts and opens two windows. One of them is an emtpy window, the other one shows the website I requested.
