Details

Build Sept 12, 2000
Menus for Browser, AIM Composer and Mail all have the menus all running
together. That is there is no space between menu items when the menu is
activated the test is visable but there is no back ground so the window below
shows through.

AIM is especially bad as the window is small so it looks liek the menu is out
side the application.

All menus should have standard spacing and you should not be able to see the
back ground.
When I relaunched 6.0 this went away. A few other things I was about to report
went away also. The Drop menus for folders in the personal bookmark bar showed
an icon but no text for items went away as well. At the very least this shouls
be release noted.
(Resummarized)

I see this every once in a while, most of the time when opening subsequent
windows. Aside from it being a bug, I thing the transparent menus are kinda
cool.
Summary: Menus in all apps are not squished and when activated there is no back bround tot he items. → Menus in all apps are squished and when activated there is no background to the items
could this be more of bug 51267?
Could be, although I've never seen it as bad as the screenshot in that bug.
I've only ever witnessed the menu problems.
I think the reporter means the top menus, file/edit/etc. I too see this
sometimes, could be related to that bug though.
The first part baout the menus being runn together is refering to the top
main menu the other entry below refered to the drop menu from that personal
bookmark toolbar.
When I see this behavior, I see it in all menus off of the main menu bar.
layout perhaps? or UI/themes?

I think this is bug 51267, which may have a fix soon.
