Anne pointed out on IRC that type selectors always serialize as lowercase, which is incorrect. This patch fixes it. However, it has some tests that I had to comment out because they didn't pass; I'm curious whether you also think they should have passed.

Here's a patch with a revised test: I suppose the current behavior makes sense, and this tests it more extensively.
