User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.1; en-GB; rv:1.9.1.3) Gecko/20090824 Firefox/3.5.3 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.1; en-GB; rv:1.9.1.3) Gecko/20090824 Firefox/3.5.3 This usually happens during installation of a different program. After the install is complete the 'firefox.exe' icon is removed and replaced with the unknown file image. Checking the executables properties shows the icon, as well as forcing the Windows Taskbar to show lables. As soon as firefox is closed the icon is replaced with the unknown file image. Earlier, I installed Apache HTTP Server 2.2.14 (http://httpd.apache.org/) and this did not effect the icon change, however, uninstalling Apache did. So far my current solution has been to uninstall Firefox, restart windows and reinstall. Reproducible: Sometimes Steps to Reproduce: 1. Install Firefox 3.5 2. Install second program (any) 3. Alternative uninstall program Actual Results: 'firefox.exe's icon is no longer shown. Expected Results: Firefox should not be effected. Windows 7 Professional x64 Theme: 'XP on Vista'

No reply, INCOMPLETE. Please retest with Firefox 4 or later and a new profile (http://support.mozilla.com/kb/Managing+profiles). Also, ensure you have the most up to date graphics drivers, operating system updates, and plugin versions (flash, java, etc). If you continue to see this issue with the newest Firefox and a new profile, then please comment on this bug.
