Note: this is a meta tracking bug for UI mockups and discussion of the overall user experience.

This is the 4.0 continuation of bug 523525 (The user's previous session should be viewable in the content area) to update session restore to use the new rendering for places meta pages, which includes thumbnail images, detailed in bug 524056.
