Hi,

I upgraded to to 3.5 and now there is a new button in the tab bar which' sole purpose is to create a new tab. This is a highly redundant feature.
I'm sure many think of this button as something useful, others as something just cluttering valuable UI space.

Therefore it should be possible to hide/disable this button.

http://kb.mozillazine.org/Firefox_:_FAQs_:_About:config_Entries doesn't contain an option to hide this button nor does the local about:config. So I guess it doesn't exist.

Please add this configuration option.

Best regards,
sera

Reproducible: Always

Expected Results:
The user may choose whether to display the "Open a new tab" button in the tab bar or not through a corresponding key-value pair in about:config.
