Build Identifier: Thunderbird 2.0.0.23
When I try to forward any e-mail that has images in it, Thunderbird sends only placeholders, NOT the images. And yes, I DO have the option set to send all e-mails as HTML. Why isn't there an Option so we can decide for ourselves whether we want to forward images? Paranoid developers/code writers?
This is an OLD problem back as far as 1.0, and as I understand it, was a deliberate coding decision. Despite numerous fixes, in earlier versions, it is STILL in the most recent version! Why?? No non-geek end-user wants to look like an idiot by forwarding e-mails that don't contain the very pictures that are the point of the e-mail!
No wonder Thunderbird has garnered so little share...
This is a showstopper for consumers.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Click Forward. Add addresses. Hit Send.
Actual Results:
Forwarded e-mail contains no images.
Expected Results:
Forwarded e-mail SHOULD contain images.
Let ME decide whether I want to forward images, as a Global Option.
Clearly a duplicate, but without any specifics mentioned or a testcase added there is no unique bug to dupe to, thus resolving as incomplete. Also, please read the etiquette rules before reporting a bug report or commenting.

Resolved??? How??? How much more specific does one need to be?? And what the heck is a testcase?? I filled out the whole form.
Do you really want to hear about bugs or not? From the attitude of Response 1, it appears not.

Well, my response followed the attitude you presented in your initial bug description. Your pointless accusations aside, you seem to have done some research already and looked into similar bugs, and commented on two of them. From those, it should have been obvious to you that the specific way how a message causing the issue is formed is of some relevance, so that would be the testcase you could have attached (saved message, etc.). If you don't have a testcase which is different from those posted in other bugs, and cannot be more specific what the problem is other than that the images are not there, I can only guess in which bug you were running into (most likely bug 307023, which is fixed since 3.0 beta 3, then your report would be a duplicate of that bug).
Bug reporting is certainly welcome, but only if you are serious about helping and not just want to vent off some steam.

a testcase is somethin that we can use to figure out what the bug is. see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Test_case

Yes we do. But if the bug doesn't bring any insight on what's going on there is no way we can fix them.
