Changes for this page: 1) Copy Changes which can be found in the attachment [Everything in Orange] 2) Change link to the page (menu side bar) to say "Under the Hood" (and page title too). 3)Promote hacks.mozilla.org, developer.mozilla.org, and @mozhacks on the right handside as "Resources for Web developers" [like on the current personal.html page "Helpful Links"]. 4) Cut the UX section completely. 5) There's a new video to replace the fx3.5 vs. fx3 video. You can get the ogg, mp4, and the original .mov (just in case you need to reencode the mp4 and ogg) here: http://people.mozilla.com/~afranquet/fx36performancedemo.zip 6) Clock image and bar chart image: There are no screenshot changes, but the clock image and bar chart numbers have to be updated. The clocks also need to be updated on the Features Page and ie.html pages too. Would you like me to file a separate bug for that? Thanks!

What file type is the attachment? It's labelled incorrectly in Bugzilla and I'm unable to open it.

The resources for Wed Developers should be a small sidebar with links to -MDC -hacks -and following Firefox on Twitter and Facebook Right, Alix?
Comment 8•13 years ago

Yes except for facebook, the section is meant to list more links/resources for web developers: Mozilla Developer Center: https://developer.mozilla.org/ Hacks blog: http://hacks.mozilla.org/ @mozhacks on Twitter: http://twitter.com/mozhacks

Ah, yes. I missed the developer sidebar. Added in r54934. Is that what you had in mind?

It looks good! Is there a way we could make the section stand out a little more? Maybe put a border around it? Because it's competing with the clocks and the download button it's hard to see.

If the was an appropriate "developer" image or icon, we could do something like this: http://mozilla-com-mobile.silverorange.com/img/tignish/security/background-facebook.png That said, I think it probably works best as is. There's already a lot going on on the page.

Thanks Steven, it looks good as is with the font-sizes change.

Steven, One last thing-- Can you remove the entire "User experience" section from the page? Thanks, L
Steven, I still see "It’s over 2x faster than Firefox 3 and 25% faster than Firefox 3.6." -- can you fix that?

Also, the page is still showing the old video for the demo. Can we upload the new one?

Caught a few typos: In "Network and file access", "font support", "offline support", "Orientation", "more developer goodness" web -> Web In "CSS Gradients", add a space between Firefox and 3.6 In Location Aware Browsing: website -> Web sites In "More developer goodness" Remove "other" from "in addition to these other features"

(In reply to comment #18) > I think its already been uploaded: see here: > http://videos.mozilla.org/firefox/3.6/meetfirefox/ That's the general overview video. There is a specific performance video for this page (see https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=525861#c0). Correct me if I'm mixed up with the videos. Thanks.

I apologize--you are correct. I was thinking of the wrong page. (Damn cold medicine!)
QA: we're still waiting on the "View documentation" links before calling this page final.

The links are already there, Stephen was looking at the wrong branch or an older version. The only thing missing before we can close the bug is the updated link to the video.

I should know this, but: are we only targetting (and thus, supporting, Firefox users with this?) IE 6 is missing the video section.
(In reply to comment #31) > I should know this, but: are we only targetting (and thus, supporting, Firefox > users with this?) IE 6 is missing the video section. NVM; just opened prod (http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/performance/) and it's the same. Verified FIXED!
