When I upload a file with a file input, the file is locked and can't be deleted - only after Firefox is shut down. The file being uploaded is an ~8 MB zip file, if that matters. And the file finished uploading by the time I try to delete it.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Upload a file.
2. Try to delete it. You can't, because it's locked.
3. Shut down Firefox. Now you can delete it.
Actual Results:  
File is locked.

Expected Results:  
Shouldn't be locked.
I can confirm this happens to me as well.

Can confirm this behavior, too.

Uploading a 60 MB EAR file to a remote WebSphere server using the HTML Admin Console. After the transfer is completed successfully, the (local) EAR file can't be deleted from the file system unless Firefox.exe is closed. That's the reason why I have to use Chrome for this task. ;)

Mee too, very anoying on develop web projects where zips have to be updated and uploaded several times.

You can also try to reproduce in Firefox 4 Beta 8 or later, there are many improvements in the new version, http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-beta.html

No reply, INCOMPLETE. Please retest with Firefox 3.6.13 or later and a new profile (http://support.mozilla.com/kb/Managing+profiles). If you continue to see this issue with the newest firefox and a new profile, then please comment on this bug.
