The new icon for Thunderbird from bug 519580 can be found at (PNG and Windows ICO):

Looks fine to my eyes, thanks!
I tried to remember the problems we had with the FF icons, but all issues that were mentioned in bug 500414 seem to be addressed.

If I understand the TB3 tree rules correctly, we need approval to land this on comm-1.9.1.
