In the migration assistant of Thunderbird 3.0 (Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.0; en-US; rv:1.9.1.5pre) Gecko/20091030 Shredder/3.0pre ID:20091030031919) there is a link to addons.mozilla.org (redirected from 
http://live.mozillamessaging.com/thunderbird/addons/search?q=header&locale=en-US&lver=3.0pre&hver=3.0pre&os=WINNT ) which should search for add-ons to customize the header pane of a message. The link above is redirected to 
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/thunderbird/search?q=header&appid=18&hver=3.0pre&lver=3.0pre

Only to add-ons are listed (Header Design Inc. 1.8.0 and Display Mail User Agent 1.6.4.3 of which the latter one is only compatible with 3.0beta3). 

If you start a fresh search from the advanced menu and selected "any" versions you get much more results:

(yes, I'm the author of these two ;-) )

Are experimental add-ons excluded if you search for a specific version of Thunderbird? This might explain the results. Then you should somehow make this clear or add an option to include experimental add-ons in the search.
