Details

- go to www.knbr.com (commercial bits, build from 9/13/00-12)
- open any new window or dialog (new nav window, find dialog, etc)

expected results:
- it paints

actual results:
- no painting occurs in any new window. it's blank!
visiting a page should not make the app stop working.
