After load a page in firefox, the page loads and then quickly (it happens in about 1 second) the entire window .. i.e page itself, scroll bars etc, blinks/flashs (thats my description of it) and then everything comes back.  it looks as though the whole browser window is refresh or repainted.  

This does occur all the time but often enough to be annoying.

This works fine for me, on windows at least. Do you get the same problem in safe-mode / with a new profile and when did it start?

Reporter, are you still seeing this issue with Firefox 3.6.13 or later in safe mode or a fresh profile? If not, please close. These links can help you in your testing.
