Rebuilding the index on the folder that is missing messages.
I REBUILT THE INBOX INDEX BUT WITHOUT RESULT ...

ALL THE MESSAGES BEFORE JUNE DISAPEARED .

Aureliano told you how to do it Tools -> Account Settings -> Disk Space , you just need to follow the menu and read.
Why are you using caps ? We are not doing support here, if you want some support please use our support channels -> http://www.getsatisfaction.com/mozilla_messaging ?

Sorry working on a release. If rebuilding indexs doesn't fix it. and that you are usig pop, you'll have to ask your email server administrator if he can recover the emails server side.

jolaine, although it may not be entirely consistent with the symptoms mentioned here the problem could be antivirus. please see http://kb.mozillazine.org/Disappearing_mail and report back results
Summary: I lost a part of my email from a certain date → I lost a part of my email from a certain date [pop]
