Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux x86_64; en-US; rv:1.9.1.4pre) Gecko/20091005 Thunderbird/3.0pre From firefox url/search bar usage, I kind of expect that if I want to search for things in a new tab I'll type and hit alt-enter. The tbird search box filters are live, but it should be possible to open the view, filtered, in a new tab -- perhaps canceling the filter in the original tab. Currently if I filtered stuff and want to set that view aside in a tab I have to middle click on a folder and re-do the filtering. steps: 1. select a search type in the search bar dropdown 2. type a query into the search box, e.g. "plop" and hit alt-enter result: nothing happens expected: search result in new tab for all search/filter types when alt-enter used
Component: Mail Window Front End → Search
QA Contact: front-end → search
would "duplicate tab" function accomplish the same thing? I don't understand why you want to do this, since canceling the filter returns the message list in the tab to its original state.
